Letters with Love’s Second Mission: St. Patrick’s Day Cards for Veterans
After the success of our first mission, Letters with Love embarked on its next heartfelt initiative: St. Patrick’s Day Cards for Veterans. This mission was dedicated to honoring and expressing gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country. Our goal was to remind veterans that their sacrifices are recognized, appreciated, and never forgotten.
A Community Effort to Show Gratitude
For this mission, we invited participants of all ages to create handwritten St. Patrick’s Day-themed cards filled with messages of encouragement and appreciation. Each card was designed in various shades of green, embracing the festive spirit of the holiday while carrying a deeper message of gratitude and respect.
Through the dedication of our volunteers, we collected 119 beautifully crafted cards—each one unique, thoughtful, and personal. Volunteers took the time to express their appreciation in their own words, ensuring that every veteran who received a card would feel seen, valued, and honored.
Delivering More Than Just Cards
Once collected, the cards were delivered directly to Veterans Memorial Home in Paramus NJ, where veterans were deeply moved by the outpouring of kindness. Many shared how touched they were to receive such thoughtful, handwritten messages from people they had never met. The words of encouragement, gratitude, and warmth in each card made a genuine impact, reminding them that their service is remembered and appreciated not just on special occasions, but every single day.
For some veterans, these cards represented more than just a holiday greeting—they were a reminder that their contributions to our country still matter and that people care about their well-being. The joy and appreciation on their faces reinforced why we do what we do at Letters with Love.
Why This Mission Matters
At Letters with Love, we believe in the power of human connection. A handwritten card may seem like a small gesture, but it carries immense emotional value—especially for those who may feel isolated or overlooked. This mission was not just about celebrating St. Patrick’s Day; it was about making sure our veterans feel recognized, honored, and appreciated for their service.
Looking Ahead
As we wrap up our second mission, we are beyond grateful for the volunteers who took the time to create these heartfelt cards. Your kindness and dedication helped make this initiative a success.
Today and every day, we thank our veterans.
Letters With Love received recognition for the cards given out to Veterans. We want to thank our volunteers as well as Dorthy at RCVSA for making this happen!
