Honoring Our Teachers
For our September mission, Letters With Love turned its focus to the educators who dedicate their time, energy, and hearts to shaping the next generation. Teachers often give so much of themselves to their students, yet rarely receive gestures of appreciation outside of the classroom. This mission was our way of saying thank you for their endless patience, encouragement, and commitment.
Mission Impact
112 heartfelt cards were created
56 participants from across our community joined together to write messages of gratitude and encouragement
Deliveries were made to Nanuet High School, North Rockland High School, and Albertus Magnus High School
Each card carried words of kindness and appreciation, reminding teachers that their daily dedication truly matters. Whether it was a simple “thank you” or a longer note of recognition, every message reflected the respect and admiration our community feels toward its educators.
Why This Mission Matters
In the hustle of a busy school year, teachers can often feel overlooked. Our mission provided a moment of pause—a reminder that their work is seen, valued, and deeply appreciated. Small acts of kindness, like these letters, ripple outward: a teacher uplifted is a teacher empowered to continue inspiring their students.
Looking Ahead
The success of this mission shows just how powerful gratitude can be when expressed collectively. As we continue into the year, Letters With Love remains committed to creating opportunities for connection, appreciation, and kindness—one card at a time.
Letters With Love hosted a special event this September. For the start of the school year, we called on High school seniors to come together to write messages on biodegradable balloons. These balloons were then released, carrying with them messages of gratitude, hopes for the future, and remembrances of lost family members. See more here
